“Excellent service. High quality products which reflect the joy of working with wood.”
Charles Bulman, Kendal.
“We saw Jack demonstrating his skills at a local show and got his contact details. We sent him a photo of a gateway and he designed and built a beautiful cleft oak garden gate. It is 6ft tall by 3ft wide and is vertically hinged in traditional Cumbrian fashion and can be viewed on his web-site. When it was built Jack came and fitted it and his attention to detail and imaginative problem solving were outstanding. We absolutely love the gate and it sets off the walls either side and gives a lovely perspective from the garden.”

“We're delighted with the beautifully made cleft oak gate which leads to our glamping site and gets lots of admiration from customers - thank you Mountain Oak, it's lovely and a perfect fit.”
Rosie Dent, Ravenstonedale.
“I have had Jack help me out with tree felling, woodland management, advice and milling/processing of my own felled timber. He has been a pleasure to work with, is a good communicator and always seems keen to try to achieve what I am hoping for.”
Leslie Edkins, Storth.
“Jack took a commission for me for a garden table. I wanted it to fit an odd space and look a certain way but needed help in design ideas. He came and discussed it, suggested some ways of doing it, we agreed a way forward and then he went away and created the most beautiful item. Jack listens, understands what you need and most importantly is a creative with wood: he knows what the possibilities and is rich with ideas for doing them. A pleasure to commission and work with and a true craftsman.”
Ceri Hutton, Ulverston.
